PT5705 - Industar-22 prototype lens.

PT5715. Early version of uncoated "Industar-22" lens, released by KMZ in 1948-1950. An additional "Moskva" markings on the faceplate. Originally a FED lens with alluminum or brass face. Aperture range f3.5 - f16. Different styles of lens markings are known to exist. Slightly changed optical scheme of the particular lens (see picture below). Zorki (M39) mount. Mounted on FED-KMZ or FED-ZORKI 1948/1949 cameras. 

PT5715 - Industar-22 "Moskva"  #878.

PT5720. Almost identical to PT5715, but coated already. Released by KMZ in 1948-1950. An additional "Moskva" markings on the faceplate. Originally a FED lens with brass face. Aperture range f3.5 - f16. Different styles of lens markings are known to exist.  Zorki (M39) mount. Mounted on FED-KMZ or FED-ZORKI 1948/1949 cameras. 

PT5720 - Industar-22 "Moskva"  #651.

PT5725. So called "Industar-22 KMZ" lens. Identical to PT5720, but without "Moskva" markings on the faceplate. An additional character "П" ("P" in Cyrillic - "Prosvetlennij" = "Coated") on the faceplate. Still old version of KMZ logotype.  Different styles of lens markings are known to exist.  Zorki (M39) mount. Mounted on FED-KMZ or FED-ZORKI 1948/1949 cameras. 
















   

PT5725 - Industar-22 "KMZ"  #2306.

PT5730. So called "Industar-22 Zorki" lens. Identical to PT5725, but with additional markings "Zorki" on the faceplate. No more KMZ logotype on the faceplate. Different styles of lens markings are known to exist.  Zorki (M39) mount. Mounted on early samples of Zorki camera only. Fewer than 1000 units released by KMZ in 1949.
















    

PT5730 - Industar-22 Zorki  #6130.

PT5735. Identical to PT5720, but with new diaphragm control and new focusing knob design.  An additional "Moskva" markings and old KMZ logotype on the faceplate again. Authenticity of the particular lens is not confirmed yet.

PT5735 - Industar-22 Moskva lens.

PT5740. Identical to PT5725, but with new diaphragm control.  An old KMZ logotype on the faceplate. The previous focusing knob design yet. Different styles of lens markings are known to exist.  Zorki (M39) mount. Mounted on early samples of Zorki camera (up to #10.000 or so). Less common to find nowadays.

PT5745. Identical to PT5740, but with new focusing knob design (see picture below). Invastigated lens has s/n #9288 (SovietCams).

PT5740 - Industar-22 KMZ  #0149.

PT5750. Late version of Industar-22 Zorki lens. New diaphragm control and focusing knob design. With additional markings "Zorki" on the faceplate. No more KMZ logotype on the faceplate. Different styles of lens markings are known to exist.  Zorki (M39) mount. Mounted on early samples of Zorki camera with s/n from appr. #8.000. The latest known lens has s/n #23106 (eBay 2011). Fewer than 20.000 lenses released by KMZ in 1949-1950.













   

PT5750 - Industar-22 Zorki  #10497.

PT5755. Seems to be the latest version of early Industar-22 lens, released by KMZ. Regular KMZ logotype on the faceplate. 5-digits serial number without date prefix yet. Different styles of lens markings are known to exist. Mounted on Zorki camera (1950-1951). An earliest so far known lens has s/n #26794 (SovietCams).



PT5760. Identical to PT5755, but with date prefix in the serial number. 6-digits serial number stamped on the rear plate. Released by KMZ in 1950 only. An earliest so far known lens has s/n #503933 (SovietCams). Not easy to find.



PT5765. Identical to PT5760, but with 7-digits serial number stamped on the rear plate. Released by KMZ in 1951-1953. Not common to find nowadays.



                                

PT5755 - Industar-22  #38517.

PT5770. Almost identical to PT5755, but released by KOMZ ("Kazansky Optiko-Mechanichesky Zavod") in 1949-1950. KOMZ logotype on the faceplate, serial number on the rear plate. 4-digits or 5-digits serial number without date prefix yet. Was mounted on early samples of Zorki camera as well as on later ones. An earliest so far known lens has s/n #1850 (Matteo Conte coll.).

PT5775. Identical to PT5770, but with date prefix in the serial number. 7-digits serial number, stamped on the rearplate. Released by KOMZ in 1950 only (?). An earliest so far known lens has s/n #5001258 (M. Bazaroff coll.).

PT5770 - Industar-22  #27169.

PT5785. Very special rigid lens. Released by KOMZ for enlarger related works. New diaphragm control, serial number stamped on the rearplate. Identical to the same lens, made by FED. A limited batch released in 1949-1950.

PT5790. Under name "Industar-22У". Enlarger lens, released by KOMZ. Signally changed body design (see picture below, private coll.).

PT5785 - Industar-22  #13767.

PT5800. New degeneration of the particular lens, it becoming rigid now. Internal thread for filter or lens hood. White faceplate with 7-digits serial number and KMZ logotype. Only few hundreds released by KMZ in 1950. Very rare to find nowadays. An earliest so far known lens has s/n #5000101 (private coll.).

PT5805. Identical to PT5800, but totally black, except of white focusing knob. Rather rare to find nowadays. Only very few real sample are known to exist. An earliest so far known lens has s/n #50000003 (D.Krivosheev coll.).

PT5805 - Industar-22  #5000518.

PT5810. So called regular version of the Rigid White (white faceplate) "industar-22" lens. Signally changed body design, no more knurlings on the top (see comparison picture below). Less than 4000 copies released in 1950-1951, many serial numbers are mixed with PT5820 lens. An earliest so far known lens has s/n #5000544 (private coll.)

PT5810 - Industar-22  #5002235.

PT5820. Lens identical to PT5810, but with black faceplate already. So called Rigid Black Industar-22 lens. No more internal thread for filter or lens hood. The particular version is less common to find, PT5825 is the regular one (see information below). An earliest so far known lens has s/n #5015059 (OK Cameras).

PT5825. The regular version of the Rigid Black Industar-22 lens. Appr. 10000 copies released by KMZ in 1950-1953. Signally different body construction with wide focusing ring, as on early "RW" lenses (see comparison picture below). No more internal thread for filter or lens hood.

PT5825 - Industar-22  #5106194.

PT5830. Identical to PT5825, but with changed markings on the faceplate. "N" replaced by "No", smaller KMZ logotype, etc. (see comparison picture below).

PT5835. identical to PT5830, but with wider meter scale's ring (see comparison picture below).

PT5835 - Industar-22  #5210524.

PT5840. Seems to be latest known version of the rigid Industar-22 lens. identical to PT5835 , but with white faceplate again. Very similar to earliest PT5800 (see information above), but without knurlings on the top. No more  internal thread for filter or lens hood. Released in 1953 only, very rare to find. An only so far known lens has s/n #5302578 (SovietCams).

PT5840 - Industar-22  #5302578.

PT5850. 2nd generation of the collapsible Industar-22 lens,  released by KMZ in 1953. Identical to PT5765 (see information above), but with serial number on the faceplate already. 7-digits serial number with date prefix. Unidentified quantity released in 1953 only (?).



PT5860. Identical to PT5850, but with "0" (zero) prefix in the serial number. The new serial number coding system has replaced the previous one, then total number of released lenses has reached 100.000 units (unconfirmed). Investigated lens has s/n #0104034. Released by KMZ in 1953-1954.








   

PT5850 - Industar-22  #5340602.

PT5870. Seems to be the latest version of the particular lens. Identical to PT5850 or PT5860, but with changed serial numbers coding system again. 1 digit date prefix in the serial number as the first number, i.e. date prefix "5" stands for year 1955, prefix "6" - year 1956 and prefix "7" - year 1957. Released by KMZ in 1955-1958. Very popular to find nowadays.
