These cameras are available for immediate sale and are indicative of other cameras in stock, in the same condition and available for immediate sale. If your needs are for a camera that is of museum quality please inquire as it is possible to assemble a perfect camera and lens for you out of perfect parts. If you are looking for something more along the lines of a "User", this is also available. The main point to keep in mind is that all cameras are mechanically the same. No camera leaves my hands until it is performing at its full potential and is completely reliable. All come with a one year guarantee that is rarely needed but is promptly and cheerfully fulfilled.

Contax II with rare coated 50mm f1.5 Carl Zeiss Jena Sonnar lens. The cosmetic condition of the body is Mint and it appears never to have been used. The cosmetic condition of the lens is Excellent +, the optical quality of the lens is Excellent ++. It is ready for shipment now. Includes the original lens cap and original metal Zeiss film spool. Sold.

Currently all of my rebuilt Contax IIa and IIIa cameras have been sold and the great number of customers cameras sent to me for overhaul prevent me from working on my own cameras to restore the stock. But you can still get the camera you want at the lowest possible price.

The Contax Camera Buyers Program

In order to provide you with the opportunity to obtain a Mint mechanical and optical condition Contax I, II, III, IIa or IIIa camera having an exterior cosmetic condition of your desire, and at the lowest possible price, the "Contax Contract Camera Program" has been initiated.
Here's how it works. You contact me and let me know what model of Contax camera body you want, the type of lens you would like it to come with, and the exterior cosmetic condition of the camera you would like to own. I will find a camera that meets your requirements.   Once it's here the body and lens will be overhauled and restored to 100% Mint mechanical and optical condition. If the model is a III or IIIa the light meter will also be rebuilt and a new photocell will be installed.
All that is required is an initial deposit to start the process.
Through this program you can obtain the best possible Contax of the model you want at the lowest possible price with absolutely no risk. You don't have to deal with all the Ebay hassle and risk. You don't have to search the internet. You don't have to accept any compromises. All the transactions will be handled by me. If there are any problems with the camera or the seller I will handle them.
I will also find and purchase lenses and other accessories for the Contax camera for you. The same terms apply. You will get a fully overhauled and 100% newly cleaned, lubricated and adjusted and 100% reliable lens or accessory at the lowest possible cost.

The Fine Print

With every transaction where valuable considerations are involved it is always best if both parties to it fully understand all of the rules. With regard to the Camera Buying Program here are the details in plain English.
1. A $100.00 deposit is necessary to start the process for a first time customer. Once you have established a good history I will usually waive the deposit and will find your Contax items for you without an advance deposit being necessary.
    a. The $100.00 deposit will be applied to the purchase price of the item being purchased on your behalf.
    b. Once the deposit is paid your commitment to complete the transaction becomes a binding contract. In the event you cancel the transaction before the item has been purchased you will receive a 50% refund of your deposit. If you cancel the transaction after the item has been purchased for you the deposit is forfeit.
    c. Once your deposit is received I will open an invoice for you and will list your project on the waiting list. The waiting list is posted on the Internet and is password protected. You will be provided with a password to the waiting list by email on the day your deposit arrives.
2. The camera or other item price will include a charge to account for the time and effort required to find and obtain it if you ask me to find something of exceptional or quality and/or rarity for you.
3. If you pay the deposit, and I purchase your item, and you subsequently purchase a similar item on your own and ask me to substitute the item you purchased for the one I purchased for you this will be allowed with the following terms:
a.   I will accept your item for overhaul at the regular price and will allow your item to take the place on the waiting list currently occupied by the item which I purchased for you.
b. Your $100.00 deposit is forfeit and will not be applied against any charges for overhaul or the purchase of any other goods in the future. Any amounts you may have paid above the $100.00 deposit will be applied towards the overhaul costs of your substitute equipment. However, in the event you decide to not submit this equipment for overhaul this additional amount is non-refundable but will be credited to any future work you may submit in the future. This credit will expire 12 months from the date it is recorded on your invoice.
c. In the future if you ask me to purchase an item on your behalf that you will pay the full estimated cost of that item in advance and that this advance payment will be non-refundable under any and all circumstances.
4. The cameras I provide under the Camera Buying Program are a form of advertisement. It is my intention that these cameras should produce complete photographic success well beyond the expectations of the owner. To maximize the possibility of this being the result each and every camera purchased under the Camera Buying Program comes equipped with a most Exceptional Select Lens. In order to ensure that Camera Buying Program Cameras are not purchased for the purpose of obtaining the lens the following terms apply to refunds:
    a. If you want to return the camera for a refund a full refund will be provided only if the camera is returned with the same lens that was on the camera when it was sent to you.
    b. If a camera body is returned without the lens and a request is made for a partial refund based upon the value of the body, the value of the lens, for the purpose of the calculation of any refund, will be set at the full price paid for the body, lens and shipping.
    c. If a camera body is returned with a substitute lens the value of the substitute lens will be $1.00 and the value of the retained lens will be set at full price paid for the body, lens and shipping.
