It is time again not only for another episode of the award winning world’s first and only open source film photography podcast, but it is also going to be a highly sought after “European Friendly Time Zone” episode!
The special occasion for this show is that we will be welcoming Jo Geier from Mint and Rare Cameras and Wetzlar Camera Auctions. Jo has a long history of offering and selling some of the most highly sought after cameras in the world. He’s basically like a European version of Dan Tamarkin….
…and speaking of the Camerosity Podcast’s official auctioneer, we will also be welcoming Dan Tamarkin back on the show to share his stories with Jo about the wonderful world of high end camera auctioning. If you have a couple thousand Euros burning a hole in your pocket, this is the show you won’t want to miss (or depending on how many bills you need to pay with those Euros, maybe you should!)
We will be recording Episode 85 on Monday, January 27, 2024 at 1pm CST (UTC-6), 2pm EST (UTC-5), 7pm GST (UTC+0), 8pm CET (UTC+1), 9pm EET (UTC+2), and 6am Tuesday AEDT (UTC+11). The recording will last about 2 hours, so if you cannot make it at the start of the show, feel free to jump in at any time during those 2 hours. We want to hear from as many people as possible!
Here is a countdown which should show you the exact time based on your location’s time zone:

As always, the topics discussed on the podcast are entirely decided by YOU! Week after week we’ve heard the positive feedback from you all about how much you enjoy the show, but we can’t do it alone. Guide us, show us the path to new discussions. Help us to avoid the debates about whether film is too expensive or if cricket actually makes any sense. Only YOU can decide!
In order to join us, you’ll need the ability to join into a Zoom call through either a desktop computer or a mobile device running the Zoom app. Having your video on is not a requirement as we won’t use it for the show, but it might be helpful if you want to show us something. Although you will be joining us live, the podcast is not streamed live. It will be edited and posted either Wednesday or Thursday of the same week it is recorded.
It helps us tremendously if you have a good quality microphone and can participate in an area with minimal background noise. Although some background noise is to be expected, being in a public space or using your phone’s speakerphone will make it difficult to hear you.
Every other week, new episodes will be recorded (USUALLY) on Monday night from 7pm to approximately 9pm Central Standard Time (UTC-6). This time slot is perfect for most of the United States, Australia, New Zealand, and most of Asia. Sadly, for those of you in Europe, unless you work the graveyard shift, it might be hard to join.

As we can only handle a small amount of people at once, anyone trying to join will be placed into a waiting room and you will be let in when we can get to you. Once you join in, say your name, where you’re from and you can ask your question or bring up whatever you wanted to talk about. If there are a lot of people in the waiting room, we might not be able to get to everyone, but we’ll do our best!
