Episode 3: The New Camerosity Podcast

This week I present the first ever Camerosity Podcast, the world’s first open source film photography podcast.  The idea behind an open source podcast is to have it be controlled by you, the listeners.  Although there are a great many excellent film photography podcasts already out there, I’d like to be a little different in having the ability for listeners to join in the middle of recording to ask question, share stories about what they’re currently shooting, and so on.

Since this is the first time I’ve done this, this week’s show doesn’t have any call-ins, however I assembled 3 guests, Anthony Rue, Theo Panagopoulos, and Johnny Sisson to kick things off.

If you’re wondering how can the first ever of something can be episode 3, that’s because back in May, we did a two-part proof of concept/pilot podcast called the Cocaine and Waffles Podcast.  Although these were intended to be spinoffs, we ended up having a ton of fun on both, and the feedback from those first two episodes was so good, that I think they’re worth including as numbers 1 and 2.  Although the name is different, the approach is similar, so I’m counting this one as episode 3.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy this week’s show.  This is not only the first podcast I’ve recorded myself, but I also did the editing and the publishing, so I’m still learning!

  1. Hey Mike, I really enjoyed the podcast, listening to you guys talk. Why not live stream this on youtube (or twitch or facebook live) as well? It would be great seeing the camera’s you guys are holding up. I am looking forward to the next one.

    1. Thanks for the feedback, Kevin! When we record, I do actually save the video and have thought of possible ways of still being able to use it. I will talk more about this in Episode 4!
